  • Age & Citizenship

    Surrogates must be between the ages 21-42, per the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). They must also be a U.S. citizen, residing in the United States.

  • Health & BMI

    IVF clinics restrict BMI to limit potential risk factors. Surrogates must have a BMI no higher than 35, with most clinics preferring 32 or less.

  • Previous Healthy Pregnancies

    Before you can carry a child for another family, you must first have a known child of your own, with a healthy pregnancy history. Surrogates must have no more than five deliveries, with no more than three c-sections.

  • No Smoking, Drugs or Alcohol

    Surrogates must be non-smokers, with no history of ever smoking, taking drugs, or consuming alcohol during a pregnancy. They must have no history of drug or alcohol abuse, and no current psychiatric medication use.

  • Stability & Environment

    Anyone interested in surrogacy must have a stable home life, financial stability through a current job or source of income, emotional wellbeing, and a strong support network of approving friends, family, or otherwise. Surrogates must also pass a psychological evaluation in order to ensure they can carry a child in a safe, secure environment.

  • Lifestyle & Restrictions

    To join our program, surrogates must pass comprehensive background checks, not be heavily reliant upon government assistance, not be active duty military, reservist, National Guard, etc., and must have a valid U.S. driver's license and reliable transportation. They must also be willing to have an IUD removed, if applicable, and complete IVF medication cycles.

Lastly, we ask that everyone thinking about surrogacy understand the importance of this decision.

Surrogates must be mature, responsible, honest, and willing to commit to screening, IVF, and surrogacy.
